ICICI Prudential Flexicap Fund NFO Review

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has announced the launch of ICICI Prudential Flexcap Fund. The scheme would be an open-ended scheme that will invests across market capitalization of stocks i.e., large caps, mid-caps, and small caps. It means a single flexicap fund itself will act like a diversified portfolio.

The NFO starting from 28th June 2021 and will end on 12th July 2021. The fund will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase within 5 business days of allotment.


Investment Objective

To generate long-term capital appreciation by investing predominately in equity & equity related instruments across market capitalization.


However, there can be no assurance or guarantee that the investment objective of the Scheme would be achieved.

Benchmark of the Scheme is S&P BSE 500 TRI


What are the investment strategies?

The Scheme shall predominately invest in equity & equity related securities across market capitalisation. Stock specific risk will be minimized by investing only in those companies that have been thoroughly analyzed by the Investment team at the AMC. The following are the broad parameters/factors that shall be considered while building the portfolio of companies.

  1. business and economic fundamentals driven by in-depth research techniques

  2. employing strong stock selection

  3. liquidity/risk considerations

  4. long term growth prospects

  5. valuation parameters

The Scheme may also invest in Debt and Money Market Securities/Instruments (Money Market securities include cash and cash equivalents). The Scheme aims to identify securities which offer optimal level of yields/returns, considering risk-reward ratio. With the aim of controlling risks rigorous in depth credit evaluation of the securities proposed to be invested in will be carried out by the Risk Management Team of the AMC. The credit evaluation includes a study of the operating environment of the issuer, the short as well as long-term financial health of the issuer. Rated debt instruments in which the Scheme invests will be of investment grade as rated by a credit rating agency. The AMC may consider the ratings of such Rating Agencies as approved by SEBI to carry out the functioning of rating agencies.
