UTI Mutual Fund has launched new Focused Equity Fund Offer which will have a portfolio of 30 stocks across market cap. The New Fund Offer which opened on Aug 4, 2021 closes on August 18, 2021. The scheme will re-open for subscription and redemption for an ongoing basis from August 26, 2021.
Investment Objective
The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation by investing in equity & equity related instruments of maximum 30 stocks across market caps.
However, there can be no assurance or guarantee that the investment objective of the scheme would be achieved.
Investment Strategies
The scheme shall predominantly invest in equity and equity related securities (maximum of 30 stocks) across the market capitalization spectrum, considering the factors such as, but not limited to, business fundamentals, financial strength, sustainable cash flows, earnings growth potential, attractiveness of valuation, scalability of business, management quality etc. The fund primarily relies on bottom-up stock picking. However, would use the top-down approach from a risk management perspective.
Benchmark
Nifty 500 TRI is the benchmark for scheme. The performance of the scheme is benchmarked to the Total Return Variant of the benchmark index that is Nifty 500 Total Return Index
Asset Allocation
The Funds collected under the Scheme shall generally be invested consistent with the objective of the Scheme in the following manner:
*Debt instruments shall be deemed to include securitised debts (excluding foreign securitised debt) and investment in securitised debts may be up to 50% of Debt and Money Market instruments.
